Terrace Press is a family owned letterpress studio with fourth generation printmaker Alex at the flywheel of this modern day establishment. She is mesmerised with ink, hot foil, paper and the beautiful art of printmaking - bringing together the traditional craftsmanship of letterpress printing and combining them with modern day printing techniques.
We operate from our Sydney studio and have a beautiful little family of machines. Each press has its own personality, from the way it prints, to the sound it makes, to how much oil it likes. In our current studio we have Felix (short for Frederick) and Elke, both 1960 Heidelberg windmill letterpress printers along with our table top foiler Miëka.
We are also proud owners of a few machines still awaiting a spot in our studio: Ernst - a 1975 Heidelberg windmill, Werner - a C&P guillotine and two foot treadle presses, Barry - a beautifully restored 1909 Golding Pearl no.3 and an ARAB press named Brian (which we are in the process of restoring.)
We also offer a complete range of wedding day items - all printed in-house including menus, table numbers, service booklets, place cards, seating charts and signage including acrylic, mirror and wood options.
The pricing of our wedding stationery is broken into two elements - Design & Printing, both catering for a range of budgets.
We offer three design options, our Studio Collection to help couples who are on a tight timeframe or budget, Semi - Custom for couples after personalised elements such as hand lettering or custom illustrations right through to Custom Design for couples who are wanting to stand out with a custom design.
We can help you with the design & printing of your save the dates right through to signage, offering in-house letterpress printing, digital (flat) printing and large format printing for our signage.

This collection is font based, therefore it is great option for couples who are on a tighter timeframe, or who are looking to save some money on design. All designs are flexible with colours, paper stocks, printing methods and embellishments giving you the ability to have your stationery as simple or extravagant as you want.
Together with a number of talented designers we have created a collection of semi-custom design suites for those wanting to inject something unique into their wedding stationery. This collection features original hand lettering, custom illustrations and hand drawn maps to personalise the design to fit your wedding.
Our custom design suites are perfect for couples who either have a specific look in mind or for couples who are unsure of exactly what they are after because they haven’t seen anything that speaks to them. We work closely with you to understand your vision and everything is available for customisation.
